The Veil of Moses Project: Removing The Veil in Christ

Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech - unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2 Cor 3:12-16

We are dedicated to promoting the Biblical principle that the Old Testament can only be rightly interpreted by starting with the inspired authors of the New Testament. The fullness of God's redemptive plan was not revealed in the Old Testament, but was hidden by types and shadows:

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of these things . . . Hebrews 10:1

Those mysteries which were only partially understood by the types and shadows of the Old Covenant, were fully revealed to the New Testament apostles and prophets:

. . . how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets . . . Ephesians 3:3-5

When we allow the inspired authors of the New Testament to be our starting point for interpreting Old Testament passages, then we are truly allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture. When we apply this principle to the nature of the New Covenant, and to the Second Coming of Christ, we often find that current teachings on these topics are not in agreement with the New Testament authors.

These issues are explored in the book:

Behind The Veil of Moses

Looking Past the Shadow of the Old Covenant,
to find the Substance of the New Covenant
and the Nature of the Second Coming.
